Economic Issues in Regional Integration, June 4-15

EU Ambassador Marjaana Sall opened the Economic Issues in Regional Integration course with 33 delegates representing 25 countries and 3 regional organizations.

The main objective of the course, presented by the IMF Institute for Capacity Development is to broaden participants’ understanding of economic, monetary, and financial integration. Drawing on theory and on case studies from experiences in several regions, the course covers requirements for economic and monetary integration; trade, financial, and monetary integration; costs and benefits of the integration process; and political economy aspects of integration.
